SHORE LUNCH

What trip to Kenora is complete without a famous Shore lunch. We supply everything you need to have an authentic experience. We can go with you to catch the fish before hand or buy from a local supplier ahead of time. Watch the sunset while our guides cook you a traditional shore lunch of fish, fries, beans and salad. We can customize any meal to fit your needs. Any group size is ok with us! We have cooked romantic dinners for 2 and taken large groups of 20+ out.

There is no better way to enjoy our area then feasting on fresh fish watching the sun go down. Everything to enjoy your evening is included.

Cost for 2 people is $90 (1.5 hours) Includes boat ride, all food and cook. Please contact us for larger group sizes.

BOAT TAXI

Having guests out to visit? Want to get to the beach to enjoy the sunny day? We can help! Have our professional local staff take your group to your destination. Based on the distance we provide safe and reliable transportation on Lake of the Woods... Yacht club dance? We can drop you off and pick you up. Please contact us for destination prices and services.

Coney Island is $15 per boat ride (4 people per trip)

 Need your lawn mowed or other chores done? We now have a work boat and crew to do the chores your do not want to do. We can haul away your unwanted items or deliver your new one. Let Green Adventures do the work so you can enjoy the lake. Please contact us for destination prices and services.

Work Crew Cost is $25 / hour plus travel time.

TUBING + WATER SPORTS

Water sports are exciting and fun for people of all ages. Let our staff show you a great and safe time enjoying tubing, knee boarding, water skiing or wake boarding. Behind the watchful eye of our trained professional we will take you out on Lake of the Woods and show you or your children a great fun filled time.

Cost is based per 45 min session at $50 which includes all gear, boat and guide.

KAYAK / CANOE CLUB

Every Wednesday (June – Sept) we meet at different locations to get together and share our love for kayaking and canoeing. Meeting at 5:45 and departing at 6:00 PM we paddle different areas and get to know the area as well as each other. Some of our destinations include paddling to the Dairy Queen, Coney Island, Winnipeg River and Black Sturgeon. This is a great way to learn the area, the art of paddle sports and meet new friends. Cost is free if you have your own boat or $25 for the evening rental.
Includes guide, gear and basic instruction. Please contact us to find out where we are meeting and reserve your boat.

ROUTE PLANS

Sometimes you would like to explore the area without a guide, and that is completely ok with us. WE can provide a route plan with camping sites and places to see. We can arrange the trip to your specifications, how much time you would like to paddle what your looking for (i.e family time, deep country explorations or historic places etc.) We will work with you to make your trip all it can be. We can plan the food for you and even do the shopping and packaging. We can also rent any gear you may need such as Satellite Phones, Kitchen equipment and camping equipment. PHOTO TOURS

Lake of the Woods Tours can be packaged with a professional photographer for an additional $50 an hour. You keep the photos the professional takes as well as the advice. Choose Green Adventures if you would like to go to places other then Lake of the Woods for your photos tours such as Tunnel Island, back county or any other wilderness setting. LAKE OF THE WOODS TOURS

15 minute quick town tour $10 per person (min. of 2 max of 4 people)

VOYAGEUR TRIP

This trip is an amazing trip!!! Running only once a year we gather 16 like-minded adventures and load up a 36 foot replica voyageur canoe to paddle from Fort Francis to Kenora Ontario along the historic route the voyageurs would have paddled while they opened up Canada. This is a truly unique and amazing way to see our area!

The route starts between Fort Frances, travels along Rainy River, and then follows the east shoreline of Lake of the Woods, all the way up to Kenora. We chose this route based on the route that was originally traveled by the Montreal Voyageurs. The specific method we used to map out our day to day route was using old trip log books and viewing where people before us have traveled in the past.

Throughout our trip we will be stopping off in a few cities such as Emo, Rainy River, Sioux Narrows and Kenora. During these stops we will be able to re-stock any necessities, and also buy a few treats for ourselves. These cities are also useful for emergency situations.

Along our route there are also many different interesting sites that we wished to see, which include; Sioux Narrows Provincial Park, Lake of the Woods Provincial Park, Hungry Hall, Sault Rapids, turtle portage, rate portage, sable island, windy point, Coney island and of course many more, including the areas that we have yet to discover.
